WELCOME TO
Arlene's Lists

It is with regret that the Webmaster has to advise readers that Arlene from Canada) died at the end of 2010. These lists that she compiled will remain as a memory of her great efforts to compile them in the early 1990s. The Webmaster will continue to add extra information and edit entries by Arlene where it may be appropriate to do so. Particularly of note is the vastly increased data available regarding "The Muster Roll Of Angus".
It is fitting that the webpages will remain "as written" by Arlene.

This page also provides links on this website to various data collections I have made over several years, mostly in connection with my own Family History research, as above.  I have now decided to place some of the results of my research in the public domain.  My information is held on my computer in British Columbia in Canada and copies have been emailed to Monikie in Scotland, where this website is based.  I am grateful to the Webmaster of the Monikie, Scotland Website for providing this space - we are both fellow members of the Tay Valley Family History Society which you are encouraged to join if you have family history connections with the area.

BEFORE you look at any of my lists you are advised to
READ MY NOTES
to get a better understanding of them and what you can do with them.

Here are my lists -

To help you find your way around this area here is a large map (326k) of Angus and Kincardineshire showing Parish and some place names.

The background music you may hear is to a song by Robert Burns.  The printed words and vocal is available HERE.
